I currently live in Brooklyn with my three little boys and husband. What can I say, I’m the unofficial -but official - Queen in my house. I love weird combinations of food (more on that later), going out (MOMS CAN DANCE TOO), and seeing the "A-HA" look on a founder's face when they unleash the story that has been buried in them and their business for way too long.
Hi there,
About that Chicago meetup….

For those not following, I put out an impromptu “if anyone wants to meet, I’ll be here” call since I’m back in the Midwest for a month.
WILL ANYONE SHOW UP!?!??! Me, ordering my 3rd seltzer water with lime at the bar solo.
Not too much later (phew!), I watched as women trickled in—most of whom I knew from a newsletter reply, a My StoryPro testimonial or a “I took your FIRST ONLINE COURSE in 2020🤯” and we settled into the back of a bar in Lincoln Park.
As we all went around the table and each person shared a bit about their life… the two-hour meet up quickly morphed into four… because even though we were from different industries and many in different stages of life…we ALL had one thing in common — women who were done following a life script that wasn’t meant for them.
✅ Divorces.
✅ Industry pivots.
✅ Newly formed companies.
✅ Schooling kids around the world (Nithya we need a course on this!)
The stories naturally started to pour and people relaxed into being themselves.
And then organically, everyone shared how they first got “into my world” and why they stayed.
They came to learn how to become a better storyteller in their business. They stayed (most for years, some have bought every single thing I’ve ever put out) because they felt a deeper connection to what and how I was showing up for them.
And I say this not to humble brag (dear God never) but as a reminder to you that your life, your perspective, the way you were raised, the trauma you’ve had, the hardships, the wins, the adversaries… all of this is woven into one unique tapestry that could ONLY be written by you. (how about I am writing like AI but omg that paragraph is all me…is AI copying ME??! 🤣)
And if you’re looking to attract an audience or a customer or build a movement or whatever you’re trying to attract in your life, showing up as you are and standing firm in what you believe will never be a bad idea.
All of this will start to compound for you and a reminder that you do not need tens of thousands of followers to create a meaningful business or impact in this world. (I certainly do not have a massive following or a list but I know I’ve had an impact.)
Seeing these women in the flesh and being reduced to almost tears at what they were saying reminded me that behind every post, newsletter, email or video you make, REAL PEOPLE are behind that.
It’s so easy to get lost in this digital ecosystem and get hung up on “how many shares? Likes? Comments? Downloads?” and forget that most silently consume.
At one point I asked them straight up: why do you use MyStoryPro? Most of the women who came were also My StoryPro members.
We’re not the cheapest.
Every person at that table would be considered a sophisticated AI user, meaning they can build custom GPTs, they know their way around Claude and they don’t need a ton of hand-holding.
They all said basically the same thing.
“There is no AI tool better than this for helping me be me and tap into my life and help me create stories for my work. No amount of customizing on my own has come close.”
Growing an AI SaaS tool is not the motivator here. (and if it was someone check me into a mental institution because I can think of less stressful ways to fill my days.)
But growing an AI SaaS tool in order to help TONS of women be more fully who they really are and uncover stories they were overlooking in their life is the motivator here.
I can’t run a program for everyone, everywhere, forever. And I am not into programs that have no live or custom components.. No thank you.
But this tool is how I scale the belief that your story is the most valuable thing you’ve got.
Listening IRL to women talk about leaving bad situations, making bigger moves, pivoting into what they actually wanted to do… and then hearing that My StoryPro was part of that… only confirmed exactly what me and Vee are building: a tool that helps you sound like you, not like everyone else on the internet.
So here’s my nudge: come try it.
The big AI companies are building for scale at all costs. We’re building to make you more you.
If you want to see what the women at that table have been saying and others… I posted their words this week in this Instagram Carousel.
Oh and one more thing…. I’ll be heading to San Francisco next month and would LOVE to meet some of you if you live in that area … more to come once I nail my dates.
I’ll be the person with a sandwich board QR code of My StoryPro on Mission Street!
I kid. But maybe not??!
Ok off to explore my home city of Chicago today with my kids.
I was in the burbs last week with my college bestie and now the crazy train has been camping out with my highschool friend and her 3 kids in the city.
My friend Kathryn’s 14-year-old daughter is the spitting image of Kathryn when I met her at 14. WHY IS LIFE AND TIME SUCH A MIND F🤯🤯🤯🤯
Ok have a fab weekend and I hope to meet more of you IRL soon.
I’m still on such a high from meeting so many cool women in this community this past week and Olivia took the words out of my mouth….
XO
Patrice
P.S. There are two workshops coming up. One on August 27 @ 12pm ET, we’re doing a video editing session just for MyStoryPro members. If you have a pile of footage sitting on your phone that you don’t know what to do with, this one is for you.
The other one is on September 30th is our big Storytelling and Relevancy workshop. We’re going back to our roots, how to stay relevant in your industry using AI, how to build stories that actually land, and how to set up systems whether you’re using MyStoryPro, Claude, or ChatGPT.
